From Action Button to Apple Intelligence: 5 Things We Know About the iPhone 16 Series

The next generation of iPhones is just around the corner, and the iPhone 16 series promises significant upgrades. Here are five confirmed details about Apple’s upcoming flagship devices:

1. One Series, Four Different Models

The iPhone 16 series will consist of four devices: iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. While the base models will be similar in size to their predecessors, they will feature a vertical dual-camera setup, enabling spatial or 3D video recording. The Pro models will retain a triple camera setup and similar color options to their predecessors.

2. Action Button and Capture Button

All models in the iPhone 16 series will include an action button and a new capture button, enhancing the user experience and providing quick access to essential functions.

3. Apple Intelligence Across the Board

With iOS 18, Apple introduces Apple Intelligence, its suite of AI features. Unlike the iPhone 15 series, where these features were limited to the Pro models, the iPhone 16 series will have Apple Intelligence available on all four models. Powered by the A18 chip, which comes in multiple variants, even the base models will support advanced AI capabilities.

4. Bigger Displays for Pro Models

The iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will boast a massive 6.9-inch screen, the largest ever on an iPhone. These Pro models will have very narrow bezels, higher brightness levels, and improved color accuracy. The base models will continue to offer 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens with a 60 Hz refresh rate.

5. Enhanced Camera Capabilities

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature a 5x optical zoom camera, a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48 MP main camera. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will have a 48 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. All models will include a 12 MP selfie camera.

Made in India iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max

Apple plans to assemble the entire iPhone 16 series in India, potentially leading to price reductions for the Pro models. This move aligns with Apple’s strategy to increase manufacturing in India and offer competitive pricing.

With these exciting updates, the iPhone 16 series is set to raise the bar for smartphones once again. Stay tuned for the official launch in September!
